Gareth Bale will commit his long-term future to Los Blancos by signing a contract that will keeps him with the European champions until 2022.
Reports in Spain also indicated that the Wales international, who has been linked with a move to Manchester United, will have a bumper buy-out clause of €500 million inserted in that deal in an effort to warn off potential suitors.
It is also said that Bale’s extension has already been agreed upon and dates are being formalized to announce the arrangement.
Portuguese captain Cristiano Ronaldo also indicated that he wishes to extend his time with the Galaticos.
Ronaldo, 31, has said that he does not wish to leave the Spanish giants anytime soon.
“I’ve won the Champions League and the Euros, it’s a beautiful moment in my career and my sporting life,” he said. “It just makes me want to keep working hard for this club.”
“It’s my dream to keep playing for Real Madrid and I really want to stay here for many years because the club holds a special place in my heart.”
